So I've been eyeing the latest limited edition collection from MAC, full of beautiful warm neutrals which seem great for everyday. A great personal find for me were the MSFs, both of which are smooth and blend beautifully. Comfort MSF impressed me so much, I had to get a back up! I love the glow it gives my complexion, absolutely gorgeous!! By Candlelight MSF will prove a great highlighter for women of color too... I read on the Specktra discussions board that it was apparently very similar to porcelain pink, but better...
Sometimes with MAC I guess it's not always necessary to rush limited edition purchases, because products of better formulation are bound to be later released... but I digress...
I wasn't too impressed with the eyeshadows, probably because I already own more than enough MAC neutral eyeshadows from the permanent line... I love Embark e/s which was promoted with Warm and Cozy, but this is a permanent product which I already own...
Again, I didn't feel I had to have any of the lipglosses or lip conditioners, as I am happy with Viva Glam V lipglass as an everyday neutral and pink fish lip conditioner from the Hello Kitty collection... I recently purchased a lipgloss set from MAC Holiday collection, which I need to make use of!!! I'm not trying to collect millions of lip products for the sake of collecting, so it didn't make sense to buy more... yay for self-control :) This is a new year and I am determined to keep this up
I didn't even bother looking at the shadesticks, I am content with Groundwork paintpot as my base for eyeshadow work :) I also didn't bother looking at the essential oils or lotion; there was no point in those for me, I go to MAC for makeup not for body oil or lotion... lol Blissed out nail varnish is lovely on my skintone (NW45 in foundation) but it wasn't a must-have by any means...
All in all, I give this collection an A-, a great collection, I just didn't personally need most of the products on offer,
Much love ;)
